About the night

Donn Bhat occupies a singular space in Indian independent music. A producer, songwriter, singer and guitarist based between Mumbai and New Delhi, he has built a body of work that resists easy categorisation, drawing from folk, electronica, rock and classical traditions without ever losing sight of the song itself. His music is marked by emotional precision, rich sonic detail and an instinct for finding common ground between the intimate and the expansive. His acclaimed album Connected was named Electronic Album of the Year at the Radio City Music Awards, while "Tagdeer", created for Coke Studio Bharat, introduced his songwriting to a vast new audience. Songs such as "Ishq" have come to define his ability to balance lyrical sensitivity with adventurous production, establishing a voice that is both unmistakably contemporary and deeply rooted. On stage, Donn has become one of India's most compelling live performers, appearing at landmark festivals including NH7 Weekender, Ziro Festival of Music and Magnetic Fields, alongside international appearances at Glastonbury Festival (UK), Sakifo Festival (Réunion Island) and Galle Music Festival (Sri Lanka). His performances unfold with the restraint of a songwriter and the ambition of a producer, moving fluidly between intimacy and scale.
